
Patrick Holford
Patrick Holford (psychologist and nutritionist) is widely regarded as Britain’s leading spokesman for optimum nutrition. Patrick founded The Institute for Optimum Nutrition in 1984 which is now recognised as one of the leading nutritional therapy Institutes in Europe and is the author of over 35 health and nutrition titles, many of which became best sellers.
He contributes regularly to scientific and media debates on new aspects of nutrition and its impacts on health.
In 2005, Patrick joined forces with Motivational Coach, Carolyn St John Loder and Psychologist Wendy Nagle to trial a programme to address the many issues people were having with their health and weight, and the growing need for a different intervention. Following Patrick’s ONUK survey involving 55,000 people (the largest of its kind) the results were staggering, demonstrating the need for a new and radically different approach to healthy weight loss.
In late 2005, Patrick and the zest4life team ran a significant trial to test the zest4life process - a combination of educating people about healthy weight loss and how the body works, showing them clearly how to follow Patrick's highly effective weight loss programme, underpinned by a specially developed motivational coaching process designed specifically for weight loss.
